Zilinski Balsamic Tomatoes

We planted tomatoes in the garden in 2009, and they all died before they came to fruit. We tried again in 2010, and just in case, we planted four tomato plants...and they all came up and flourished. As we are from Jersey, we don't have the capacity to get sick of tomatoes. But it did make for a lot of experimentation. This was one of the winners.

Ingredients

  • 5 c. cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ chopped fresh basil
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 2 TBS balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

Directions

  1. Throw it all in a tupperware container. Put a lid on it. Shake, chill, and eat.
