Zilinski Fire Fries

My husband loves potatoes at least as much as he loves me. He also thinks that everything tastes better when it tastes like a bottle of hot sauce. So, here is our favorite fire fries recipe. I recommend that you serve it with either ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes, cut into ¼" fries
  • 3 TBS olive oil
  • 2 TBS lime juice
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • ½ tsp red pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp chili power
  • 2TBS spicy brown mustard
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the olive oil, lime, garlic, red pepper, cayenne, chili, mustard, and pepper. Add potatoes and stir until evenly coated. Arrange fries in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn fries over. Bake 15 minutes more until crispy and browned. Season with salt. Serve hot.
