Zilinski Burger Soup

We were getting sick of burgers, but still had some ground beef leftover...and no other meat in the house, so Burger Soup was invented. It actually turned out pretty good, and was way better than burgers at the time!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ large onion, chopped
  • 3 small potatoes, chopped
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1 can kernel corn, drained
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 cubes beef bouillon
  • Salt and pepper
  • 8 c. water
  • Corn chips
  • Sour cream
  • Fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Brown hamburger meat in soup pot. Add onion and seasoning. Cook until onions start to become transparent.
  2. Add everything else. Bring to a boil, then cook on medium-low heat for an hour.
  3. Garnish with corn chips and a spoonful or sour cream, plus a sprig of fresh parsley.
