Orion Zilinski

It wasn't long before we decided Freyr needed a buddy. One day we were at the vet, and the people there asked if Freyr needed a buddy. Talk about reading my mind. They had a little orange kitten in the back room. He'd come in a box of kittens somebody had found on the highway to Odessa, and they'd named him Odie. We renamed him Orion, and Freyr took an immediate like to him. They ate together, slept together, groomed each other...they were pretty inseparable.

Even today, with six cats under our roof at any one time, Freyr and Orion remain best buddies. Orion is also our most cuddly, friendly cat, frequently greeting visitors at the door and rolling over for a good foot-on-the-belly rub. We give him special "outdoor" time, whereby we let him run around the back yard catching bugs and eating grass while supervised. He even likes playing with the dogs in the backyard. He's a weirdo. A cuddly, friendly weirdo.
